Councillor Thomas Phillips
Since 2001 Thomas Phillips has worked for the Xatśūll First Nation (Soda Creek Indian Band) in various capacities and this is the first time that Thomas has run for Council.
He is currently working as the Economic Development Coordinator and is managing the Xatśūll limited Partnership under the direction of a Board made up of people with various business backgrounds.
Thomas also plays a key role in developing agreements with Industry and Government who operate within Xatśūll’s Traditional Territory. He also manages the Band’s Taxation Department and also negotiates lease agreements on behalf of the Band. He is also a Board Member of the Likely/Xatśūll Community Forest Ltd company.
